Based on the High Street in Builth Wells, Clark and Co provide a hands-on, friendly and professional accountancy service.
We have worked closely with businesses in the local area since 1995 and face-to-face contact with our clients has formed the bedrock of our service.

Alun Clark

Alun qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 and was the sole founder of Clark & Co Chartered Accountants. Alun played an active role in management of several small businesses over the years of also running Clark & Co.
After some 20 years of running Clark & Co, Alun began to reduce his working hours to slow down towards his retirement and allow other members of staff to take over his client work over time. Alun took Catrin into partnership in 2018 which helped to transition client work before fully retiring in 2021, with Catrin taking over the practice.
Alun built a varied portfolio of clients, many of whom using Clark & Co’s services from the start. Alun wishes all his past clients well in their futures.
Catrin Gaskell

Catrin began her accounting studies with a degree in Accounting and Finance at Exeter University and qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2015 after training at a top 10 firm in Bristol for 3 years. Catrin later worked for a specialist agricultural accountancy firm in Hereford and joined Clark & Co in May 2017.
Catrin was brought up on a dairy farm in Carmarthenshire and now lives on a sheep farm with her husband in Radnorshire. Outside of work hours, she can often be found helping out on the family farm during busy seasons or spending time with her young family. Catrin also enjoys playing hockey for Radnor Ladies through the Autumn.
Catrin joined Alun in partnership on 1 October 2018 and later took over the practice upon Alun’s retirement from 1 April 2021.
As a fluent welsh speaker Catrin is happy to converse in English or Welsh at the client’s choice.

Mared joined Clark & Co in June 2019 as a partly-qualified accountant, having started her training at a firm of accountants in Carmarthen. Mared became a qualified Chartered Accountant with Clark & Co in April 2020.
Mared has experience in payroll, VAT, accounts, tax and also online bookkeeping packages.
Mared grew up on a beef and sheep farm near Aberystwyth and studied Accounting and Finance at Cardiff University.
Mared is a fluent welsh speaker and is happy to deal with client affairs in English or Welsh.
